1) Overview

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how [Doozyer Legal Entity Name] (“Doozyer,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our websites, apps, and services (collectively, the “Services”).

2) Scope

This Policy applies to information collected through the Services. It does not apply to third-party services (e.g., payment processors, app stores, analytics providers) which are governed by their own policies.

3) Information We Collect

3.1 Information you provide

  • Account details: name, email, password (hashed), role, and organization details.
  • Project/work content: project names, task/schedule data, notes, markups, checklists, and attachments.
  • Media: photos, videos, documents, and related metadata you upload or create in the Services.
  • Time logs: time entries tied to tasks/projects/members.
  • Support: messages, chat transcripts, and communications.

3.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device/app info: device type, OS, app version, identifiers, crash logs, and performance diagnostics.
  • Usage data: feature usage, events, clicks, screens viewed, and workflow signals used to improve UX.
  • Log data: IP address, timestamps, and security logs.

3.3 Location information (optional)

Some features may use location, if you enable permissions. This can help with jobsite context, mapping, or location-based workflows. You can turn location off in device settings, but some features may not function properly.

4) How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide and operate the Services (projects, tasks, uploads, exports);
  • enable collaboration across field and office (permissions, sharing);
  • maintain safety, security, and integrity (fraud prevention, access control);
  • provide customer support and troubleshooting;
  • improve performance and UX (analytics, diagnostics, A/B testing where applicable);
  • process payments and manage subscriptions (via payment providers);
  • communicate service updates, admin notices, and product changes.

6) How We Share Information

We may share information in these scenarios:

  • Within your organization: admins and authorized users may access organization data based on permissions.
  • Service providers: cloud hosting, storage, analytics, support tools, email delivery, and payment providers (acting on our behalf).
  • Legal and safety: if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transactions: merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with safeguards and notice where required).

We do not sell personal information in the conventional sense. If we run ads or marketing campaigns, we use Tracking Technologies as described below.

7) Data Storage & Transfers

Doozyer is based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Our service providers may store or process data in Canada and/or other countries (e.g., the United States), depending on infrastructure and sub-processors.

Where data is transferred across borders, we implement contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.

8) Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Organization admins may control retention/deletion of organization content depending on plan capabilities and settings.

9) Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information (access control, encryption in transit, monitoring, and least-privilege practices). No system is 100% secure, so you should use strong passwords and protect access to devices.

10) Your Rights & Choices

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent where applicable.

  • Account settings: update profile and preferences.
  • Marketing: unsubscribe from promotional emails.
  • Permissions: manage camera/photos/location via device settings.
  • Requests: contact us at [privacy@doozyer.com].

If you are part of an Organization Account, some requests may need to be handled by your organization administrator.

11) Organization Admin Controls

If you use Doozyer through an organization, the organization admin may access, manage, export, and delete organization data, subject to plan limits and settings. This includes project content, tasks, attachments, and audit trails.

12) Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, measure performance, and improve the product.

Some analytics providers may set their own cookies/SDKs. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may impact certain features.

13) Children

The Services are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable law). If you believe a child has provided information, contact us.

14) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes become effective when posted (or as otherwise stated). Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
